The Kuethe Library, home of the Historical and Genealogical Research Center, is a shared resource of the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society and the Ann Arrundell County Historical Society. Housed in the historic Kuethe Library building, constructed in 1932 by William Kuethe as a public library for the community, the Center continues a long tradition of learning and discovery. Kuethe Library is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library. The Center holds an exciting collection of more than 6,000 books, maps, photographs, documents, local histories, and genealogical materials, and free Wi-Fi access. Access to the Kuethe Library collection is free for members of either society; non-members are welcome and donations are appreciated. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or just beginning to explore your family history, Kuethe Library is here to support your journey.

What is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library?
A FamilySearch Affiliate Library is a library, archive, or genealogical society that partners with FamilySearch to provide on-site access to additional digitized genealogical records that are otherwise restricted online. These libraries allow patrons to view a wider range of FamilySearch historical images—such as probate, land, church, and vital records—within a local research setting, expanding access to valuable family history resources without requiring travel to a full FamilySearch Center.
