According to Isabel Cunningham, the Wellsview Methodist Church existed from circa 1907 to the 1920’s but had burials into the 1930’s. It was also known as West Annapolis Methodist Church until around 1950. It became a school in the 1930’s and was used as a potter’s field and had temporary markers. In the 1970’s Evangelical Presbyterians bought the one-acre corner property. In 1983/1984 they began burying their parishioners there. Supposedly there were already 18 burials there. In 2005 they placed a granite marker indicating that the oldest graves were from members of the Wellsview Methodist Church. It is not known if they are burying their members in the same area as the Wellsview burials. The DAR indicated that the old Methodist church at the end of “Weems Creek Road, E.A.” had been torn down and that about 15 graves had been there in family plots but with no markers. They noted one recent grave in 1941.
