Many of the occupants of the cemetery were re-interred (without tombstones) at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD
Piney Grove Methodist Episcopal Church was organized on November 1, 1875 and was located on the north side of the River Road (now Benfield Road).  This church merged with the Pasadena Methodist Church circa 1917.  The property was sold to City Service, who removed the cemetery to obtain clear title. The cemetery was about fifty feet wide. Some of the bodies were moved to Glen Haven Cemetery, 7215 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County, MD, under Permit No. 0749 on 9 January 1967
