The church was built in 1918 by the Church War Commission and originally served as a place of worship and meeting place for enlisted soldiers.
Many burials are not connected to the church.
Tombstones range from 1886-2002
Contains WWI, WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans
Epiphany Church was started in 1925 and burials to the cemetery started in 1931.
There is also a Peace Garden near the church in tribute to the chaplains who served in World War I. The names of each chaplain who served here, along with the name of every World War I chaplain, are included on bronze plaques donated by Hardesty Memorials, Inc. The chaplains included 108 African Americans; and 25 rabbis, 2,765 served in the Army and 164 in the Navy.
