Located in a wooded area of the former “Severn Run Farm” property where the Severn Run crosses Telegraph Road. Isaiah Pumphrey sold his land called “Penn Watts” to the Lowman family. From that time on the cemetery was known as the “burial ground on Mac Lowman’s place”.
There are also many fieldstones and the stone for Thomas Lowman located outside the stone cemetery enclosure but the distance from the Griffith stones suggesting that the Lowmans also used this burial ground. Epiphany Cemetery records may indicate that John Lowman and a son of J.M. & Maggie M. were moved there from a family cemetery.
