Duvall Cemetery/"Middle Plantation" Cemetery

Private property/former cemetery location

Located east of Route 424 (Davidsonville Road).  An historical marker shows the “Middle Plantation” location.  The graves were located 72 feet west of the dwelling. 

Earliest Death Date: Mareen Duvall, about 1694

Single known individual

There are thought to be 39 unmarked graves.  The cemetery was probably destroyed circa 1928 during the construction of a barn.  The cemetery was possibly that of the Duvall family. According to his will, Mareen Duvall’s third wife, Mary, inherited a life interest in “Middle Plantation”and Mareen Duvall raised 12 children there.
