A sign reads “Grave Site/Anne Arnold Key/Grandmother of/Francis Scott Key.” A white marble monument in the graveyard reads “This graveyard has been protected by the Maryland Society of the Colonial Dames of America in honor of Ann Arnold Key, grandmother of Maryland’s patriot poet.”  [Placed by the Memorial Committee of the Maryland Society of Colonial Dames of America along with Mrs. Key’s descendents
