Warfield Family Cemetery (BWI-historic) (Anne Arundel) Formerly located on airport property BWI Airport, MD 21240
Tombstone dates are unknown.
Ten burials are known
No known veterans
The cemetery was located in the northwest section of the airport property, between the western ends of runways 10/28 and 15R/33L and beside Kitten Branch. The Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church cemetery surrounded the family cemetery although this was reserved as a family burial plot. There were no grave markers, monuments, or any other evidence of burials but it was understood that Baltimore City’s Department of Aviation was aware of the site. A letter dated 1948 indicated that they were contacting Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church regarding the removal of their cemetery that surrounded the Warfield plot. Holy Trinity’s cemetery was moved to Howard County in the spring of 1949. It is not known what happened to the Warfield graves.
