In 2011 quite a bit of the cemetery had been destroyed (stones broken, knocked off bases, and sunken) due to a tree having fallen on the cemetery.
Land to be set aside for a mission chapel or church and burial grounds is included in 1891 and 1897 deeds.
The cemetery is referenced in two Anne Arundel County deeds: Liber GW6, folio 192 (1897) and Liber 39 folio 318 (1891).
